The itinerary starts from the barracks in the forest of Funtana Bona (1020 m.) towards the homonymous spring of water. We climb up until we get to the foot of the limestone heel of Monte Novo San Giovanni (1316 m.).

This is an exclusive panoramic viewpoint and a fundamental naturalistic site that preserves several important endemic flora species.

At this point, we can enjoy the exciting downhill gravel-path that will take us to Honeai, an area rich in blossoming pink peonies (paeonia morisii cesca). It is advisable to stop here and visit the ancient and well-preserved “cuile” Su Vadu S'eni, a typical Sardinian sheepfold.

Subsequently, we enter a thick holm-oak forest that leads up to the rocky switchbacks of Hodula. Here it is possible to admire something rather unique: a huge specimen of holm-oak tree, grown on a boulder. This tree is hundreds of years old.

The itinerary will then take us to the area of Sa Sinipida (and its homonymous shelter), to the rocky ramps of Arzane (1007 m.) and finally inside the limestone massif of the Supramonte.

From this point on, we will be biking through low scrub plants and scent of Santolina (santolina Corsica), between thousand-year-old junipers and holm-oaks, in the very kingdom of mouflons (Ovis musimon) and golden eagles (aquila crysaetos), in a landscape and natural context that is one-of-a-kind.

After turning left in the area of Grughe, we recommend a brief stop at Su Honzu, a natural basin (“presethu” in Sardinian) that collects and preserves rainwater. Here come the wild animals to quench their thirst.

Subsequently, we climb up towards the areas of "S'Ischina e Malaviu"and "Uttulu" and keep riding towards the spring of Porcargios until we finally get to our starting point: the barracks of the Forest of Funtana Bona.
