From an amateur's point of view, it is very similar to a normal mountain bike. You will find the conventional controls for shifting gears and braking, while the assistance of the electric motor is fully automated.
The duration of battery life depends on different parameters. The most relevant factors are gradient and weight and physical condition of the biker. Under "normal" conditions, one full-charged battery can guarantee and cover a range of 40 kilometres.
A very frequent question for us is whether these bikes can work without any pedalling, maybe pushing a button, just like motorbikes. The answer is NO! Unlike full-power bikes, they are designed to be pedalled: the electric motor will kick in and provide proportional help.
In other words, the harder you pedal, the more assist you get.
Our E-bikes have four available levels of assistance: ECO+, ECO, STANDARD and HIGH. The ideal assistance depends on a few factors. Generally speaking, it usually depends on the riding skills of the biker but also on the type of route. Obviously, high assist will consume more battery power.
